Position Overview

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day execution of warehouse, shipping, and logistics operations while supporting purchasing activities to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on-time customer deliveries. This role plays a critical hands-on function in maintaining safe, organized, and efficient warehouse operations, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and supporting procurement activities including vendor coordination, purchase order processing, and delivery tracking.

Location: Penetanguishene, ON. This role requires the candidate to work out of the Manufacturing facility at 187 Robert St E, Penetanguishene, ON L9M 1G9.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, staging, material handling, and storage of raw materials and finished goods
  • Enforce all Health & Safety requirements, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments
  • Build skids, prepare shipments, load trucks or containers, and ensure proper shipping documentation is completed and obtained
  • Pull, label, and prepare stock items according to customer requirements
  • Complete all shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, packing lists, courier bookings, and tracking records
  • Arrange courier and freight pickups through online portals or direct carrier communication as required
  • Operate forklifts, hand lifts, and stretch wrap bander when required
  • Maintain warehouse organization, space utilization, and efficient material flow
  • Provide production support including supplying skids, issuing packaging materials, and clearing completed orders from prep areas
  • Provide coverage and backup support for warehouse receiving and shipping during absences or peak workload period
  • Support purchasing activities by processing purchase requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring adherence to company purchasing guidelines
  • Coordinate with vendors to confirm purchase orders, schedule deliveries, and resolve shipment or documentation issues
  • Obtain vendor quotations as required and support supplier selection based on cost, quality, and delivery performance
  • Track incoming deliveries and follow up on delays or discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and logistics records, including management of the purchasing email inbox
  • Develop new and improve existing shipping vendor relationships to continue price, quality and delivery competitiveness
  • Improve upon IFM’s import/ export knowledge
  • Coordinate with Sales, Production, Maintenance, and Office teams to support operational supply needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, logistics, or operations coordination role within a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving, material handling, and warehouse operations
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs 
  • Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently certified
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Maths proficiency and excellent written and oral communication skills
