Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic Supply Chain Manager to join the Vytal Group of Companies. In this key position, you will collaborate with cross functional teams across North America and understand and meet their sourcing needs while assessing potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Responsibilities include forecasting demand, coordinating production processes, and ensuring optimal inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

•    Procurement: Identify the company's purchasing needs and perform market research to find potential suppliers. Request quotes, analyze bids, and select suppliers that offer the best quality, price, and delivery value. Develop opportunities to consolidate procurement across all companies. 
•    Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Strive to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
•    Supplier Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
•    Inventory Management: Collaborate with the local teams to monitor stock levels and ensure timely material replenishment and develop inventory metrics across the companies.
•    Cost Management: Track and manage procurement costs. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness.
•    Quality Assurance: Ensure purchased products and services meet the required specifications and quality standards. Address any non-conformities with suppliers promptly
•    Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and importing/customs/brokerage requirements. Ensure that the company policies are complying with local government policies.
•    Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and cost savings.
•    Logistics: Support the local teams with import and export documents, obtain freight quotes, and track freight costs. Consolidating customs procedures across all the companies. 
•    Returns: Support the local teams with the Returned Material Authorization (RMA) program and ensure that procedures are followed.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University
•    SCMP, CPSM or CSCP certification
•    At least 7+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a specific focus on sourcing new products
•    Understanding of procurement and sourcing regulations, product quality standards applicable in North America, and awareness of the global regulatory landscape affecting sourcing activities
•    Unwavering commitment to honesty, integrity, and strong moral and ethical principles in all procurement activities
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with suppliers and collaborating with internally with cross-functional teams
•    Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations of potential suppliers, considering quality, cost, reliability, and capacity, as well as sustainability and ethical practices
•    Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in reviewing contracts and procurement documentation
•    International travel is required
